Galapagos Explorer II, the Rina certified luxury passenger boat, cruises between the Galapagos Islands.

Improvement in passenger comfort lead to increased electricity demand requiring an additional 910 Kw Caterpillar generator tp be fitted. A major obsticle for SVF Ecuador, ComAp distributor in Ecuador, was the existing system of 2 very old manually synchronised MAN generators.

The challenge was to synchronize the one new genset with the 2 original old ones, using just one ComAp InteliGen NT controller.

ComAp proved to be the perfect fit for such a task.
