Lower operating costs by reducing fuel consumption 01.10.2011

ComAp InteliDrive controllers help electronic engines run more economically by allowing operators to carefully monitor fuel consumption and more importantly save fuel by setting optimal parameters for engine running.

The concept works by linking the fuel flow sensor to the standard pulse input on a ComAp controller allowing the sensor to take precise and accurate measurements of spot and total consumption – enabling data to be read on the controller or remotely.
For gas engines, ComAp controllers are offered with algorithms designed to optimize consumption and smoke exhaust (AFR).
In GenSet applications there is function called ‘PowerManagement’ which compares power with consumption and automatically chooses the ideal setting to achieve the best yield.

As a standard feature on all ComAp engine controllers, AirGate and/or WebSupervisor provide operators with the option to survey engine applications from any distance and intervene quickly when a irregularity occurs. This invaluable information can also be used to identify unexplained fuel loss and likely cause whether a leak, bad engine status or even theft.

Managing fuel consumption efficiently helps reduce operating costs and prevents unnecessary fuel wastage.
