Recently 42technology commissioned with the Swiss subsidiary of the Latvia based upbenergy AS a tri-generation plant in Trieste Italy for the research centre Sincrotrone.

“In combination with the MWM Gas engines and a Piller PCD we had to implement a flexible power management system with related export power depending on the quantity of running engines and the available load” says Walter Lanz, managing director of 42technology.

“In the standard InteliSys NT and InteliMains NT environment is no such function available, it had to be programmed into InteliMains NT and shared among the other controllers. No easy task which loaded ComAp’s and our engineers for days. Finally, all 21 electrical function test have been carried out successfully and been approved by the customer.

We are very happy that ComAp implemented such a powerful PLC into their controllers as else we would have been forced to use standard PLC’s for such jobs".
