In electrical engineering of power systems, digital and microprocessor based controllers and protective relays are used for the detection of electrical faults in the system. The software based protection relays algorithms analyse power systems voltages and frequencies in order to disconnect the generator from the mains in case of faults or inconsistencies that can occur either on the generator or in the power system.
ComAp is pleased to announce that we have recently been awarded safety certification TÜV NORD, DIN VDE 0126-1-1, for the mains protections InteliPro, MainsPro and InteliSys NTC BaseBox control system.
According to the testing that the units undertook, they each fulfil the requirements of an automatic disconnection device between a generator and the public low-voltage grid, and can be used for safety functions according to the local legislation. The units can automatically detect any anomaly in voltages and frequency and protect not only the power system, but also any equipment connected to it.
As well as providing protection to the electricity grid, generators, and other devices, these controllers also ensure that electricity generation, supply and consumption complies to the highest safety standard. Safe for your employees, safe for your equipment.
