History
The history of ComAp goes back to the last century when Libor Mertl and Ales Prochazka, two electronic engineers, left the Engine Research Institute in Prague and on March 1st, 1991 established the Computer Applications Company - ComAp.
Starting with just two PCs 286/AT and there first contract – a speech annunciation unit for blind people, worth USD 300 the company was formed. Later on, Martin Malek a key external SW engineer, became the third partner of the company.
ComAp grew quickly at this time successfully taking part in the Hannover Industrial Fair and establishing the semiconductor distribution company HT-Eurep and successfully penetrating into overseas markets.
To become one of the leading companies in the field of Power generation electronics the management of ComAp began focusing on the following subjects: control systems, complete solutions and bi-fuel conversions.
To cover all the customer requirements properly, and offer high quality products and improve distribution network ComAp obtains ISO 9001 certification and marine Germanischer Loyds approval, as well as creating a subsidiary in UK – ComAp Systems Limited (former ComAp Limited UK ).
